Davies family: Happy New Year

2 weeks
1 x cyclone followed closely by an extremely low pressure system (apparently code for yet another cyclone)
1 x very soggy camp site
1 x very small cabin
1 x medium size unit
1 x six year old littly boy
2 x 8 year little boys
3 x 12 year old boys
1 x 14 year old young man
1 x 18 year old young man
8 adults
And the 4 of us

We had a ball!!

Now once again I don't have many photo's I am waiting on Tony and Leesa to send some to me. But I assure you that as soon as they arrive I will download them immediately.

It was a fabulous holiday, the unit was filled with loads of laughter, plenty of name calling, a helluva lot of punching (which Kelly & I have decided is a way boys hug) and of course a lot of beer and wine drinking!

We were so sorry that the sun did not shine and even more so that the first week all the beaches were closed due to extremely dangerous conditions. 4 metre waves were not what we needed! But we still managed to have fun, we canoed on the lake and Rob and Tony took the boys fishing, we rode the bikes and eventually got to have a go on all the boogie boards. Even with the suspect weather the boys got sunburnt but strangely enough no-one broke any bones????

Rob and I loved every minute and were very sorry to see everyone head back to the land of sunshine! The rain continued on and if you get any news of us over there (where ever there may be) most of the state of Qld is under flood waters! A helluva time for Tony and David to bring their families up to us for a beach holiday!

We also had a lovely surprise visit from Charmaine and Bryan who in turn surprised Stacey by flying up Jon her fiance for her birthday! (whew hope that all makes sense!!!)
